About Religious Education
Welcome to the parish of St. John the Apostle in the Diocese of Arlington where we have been proclaiming the fullness of truth in Jesus Christ since 1838. I am happy to provide the assistance and direction needed to support St. John's children, teens and adults, as they seek to share a faith they understand, embrace and live.

AnnouncementsReligious Education classes are cancelled on Monday, 2/17, for President's Day.
A new series of adult classes will begin on Thursday, 2/20 at 7pm in the parish center titled "How We Read and Defend the Gospels." Classes are free and each week stands alone. -

HIGHLIGHTS
Children's Religious Education
For children in grades K-5 grades. These children meet once a week, September through May, at one of the following times:
- Tuesdays, 4:30-530 PM or 5:45-6:45 PM
- Wednesdays, 4:30-530 PM or 5:45-6:45 PM (No Kindergarten on Wednesdays)
- Homeschool
Jr. High Religious Education
Jr. High Religious Education is for students who attend the public middle schools (grades 6-8). They meet for religious education:
- Mondays, 4:30 to 5:45 and 7:00-8:15
- Tuesdays 7:00-8:15 P.M.
- Homeschool
Sacramental preparation for Confirmation consists of the 7th and 8th grade years with Confirmation in the fall of the 9th grade. Ninth graders in the fall are invited to join the Senior High Youth Group activities as well. Their calendars provide opportunities for service as well as socializing with peers. Registration is open year-round for new parishioners.

Sacramental Preparation
If your child is over the age of 7 years and has not yet received the sacraments of Baptism, Penance, Communion, or Confirmation, please email Diana Solomon for registration information.

New Students: When submitting forms for Religious Education registration, we also request a copy of the Birth Certificate as well as the Baptismal Certificate.
Please bring these certificates to the office for verification. Thank you!
