For children and teens who have not received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist and Penance at the usual age of reception, there is a special discernment process available that is a part of the Christian Initiation of Adults. This process of preparation, known as R.C.I.C (Rite of Christian Initiation of Children) facilitates full initiation into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil and is designed for children and teens with no previous formal instruction in the Catholic faith. Parent involvement is a vital part of this preparation.
For adults who are seeking to know more about the Catholic Church as well as adults wishing to convert to Catholicism, this process of discernment, instructions, prayer, and mentoring will assist them in this endeavor. The nine-month-long R.C.I.A. process culminates with the sacraments of initiation celebrated at the Easter Vigil.
R.C.I.A. (the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the ordinary way in which adults who were not raised in the Catholic faith become fully initiated into the Roman Catholic Church through Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. The Program is exciting, fulfilling, inspiring, and enriching. We know that you will enjoy the process!
Someone who was baptized Catholic, but then never received any other Sacraments;
Someone who was baptized into a different faith or Church;
Someone who was never baptized at all and is just beginning their faith journey.
It is for people from all walks of life and faith backgrounds who are curious about the Catholic Church, and who have at some time and on some level considered joining!
Sponsors are needed as well! Are you a practicing confirmed Catholic who would like to walk this faith journey with a candidate or catechumen as a sponsor? Give us a call as well.
Prayerfully consider giving us a call. There is no cost for this R.C.I.A. Program, nothing to lose and everything to gain!
