"The Cursillo is a unique opportunity in which to deepen your awareness of Christ's love and of sharing in His saving mission through prayer, study and witness - all rooted in a true spirit of community. The Cursillo will change your life immensely. I know from personal experience! " Most Reverend Paul S. Loverde, Bishop of the Arlington Diocese
The aim of Cursillo is to help adult Catholics (both lay and professed religious) to know, live and share their faith with the on-going support of authentic spiritual friendships.
Cursillo is a world-wide lay Catholic movement approved by the Pope and the National Conference of Catholic Bishops that provides a method to help us live our faith within the context of a supportive community. It begins with a three-day Cursillo Weekend retreat which includes times of quiet, small group presentations and sharing, opportunities for spiritual direction, Mass and Reconciliation. There are also weekly small groups that gather in person or remotely to share the Christian journey together.
Cursillo meets on the 4th Sunday of the month at 2:00pm in Fellowship Hall.
If you'd like to learn more about the Cursillo method, our local small groups, and how you can get involved, we'd love to hear from you! Please contact parishioners
Catherine Fetterman at [email protected] for the Women's Cursillo or
Michael Fetterman [email protected] for the Men's Cursillo.
Those who have made a Cursillo Weekend are encouraged to be part of a small faith-sharing group called a Small Group Reunion. We try to accommodate the schedules of those who wish to be part of a local small group, so if the current times we meet don't work with your schedule, please know that we may be able to accommodate other times and days.
For Women -- We currently offer opportunities to meet in person and via zoom on Monday mornings.
For Men -- We currently meet in person at a local restaurant one day a week.
